The Tibwin African Methodist Episcopal Church Mass Choir

History of the Tibwin AMEC Mass Choir

On April 26, 2006, the Lord placed in the heart of Tyre Singleton to form a group. So he thought about it and knowing that he must answer the Lord's calling, he decided to form a choir. After he sat down and thought about what he should name this choir, he went to his former pastor, Rev. Larry Stevens and Rev. Stevens thought it was a great idea. Rev. Larry Stevens thought Tyre would need some guidance, so he asked Sis. Maxine Weston to help him along the way. The group was formed and named the Tibwin AMEC Mass Choir. After weeks of rehearsing and tuning their voices, the Mass Choir started traveling throughout the Low Country singing to an audience of both young and old. In the 2007-2008 conference year, the Mass Choir was following the footsteps of their former pastor, Rev. Sylvester Morton. They have been singing in places that they haven't sang before. We thank God for keeping us under his blood and help us to stay strong.
